Dear Ask the Experts,
A member of our club requested a complete list of the names and addresses of all club members who have voting rights. The board declined to give out this information. What is the general practice regarding distribution of private information? Is every member of an organization allowed this information?
S.
Dear S.
Often a list of members, with personal information, is available to all members of an organization, if that is agreeable to all concerned. But voting rights are not necessarily including in such lists. Check your bylaws. Are all members given voting rights?
